ABOUT SLC
A little HISTORY
Straight Line Customs Inc was previously established in 2007 by Dan & Shelly Pearson in Shakopee, MN where they quickly out grew the space and moved to a 5000 sq. foot building in Savage, MN. Year after year they continue to grow, building “bigger and badder” cars. Due to our growth, we relocated to our very own 14,000 sq. foot building in Burnsville, MN where they plan to continue to expand through their reputable reputation.
Our philosophy is that the client should be part of the build to ensure that everyone understands the objective of the project. With this as the foundation, the client can enjoy the process of restoring their classic or custom car, and be completely satisfied with the end result.
Straight Line Customs will be your one stop HOT ROD SHOP. Straight Line Customs doesn’t just specialize in custom-built cars, we have the capability to restore award winning classic cars, muscle cars or any kind of street rod.

Dan comes from a lifetime of car experience starting young, helping his dad out in the garage. When Dan turned 13, they began restoring a 1966 Mustang Coupe for his first car. It was a special experience that really ignited Dan’s passion for restoring cars. While still in high school, Dan spent many hours tuning his body work and painting skills at a local body shop in Northern California as the primary painter. Every chance Dan had he continued to work on cars to further his skills in welding, mechanical, bodywork and painting to learn all aspects of the shop. After high school, Dan joined the Army and was stationed in Germany for three years.
While in Germany, Dan built another 1986 Mustang 5.0 during his off time in order to maintain and gain more experience. As his work progressed, he was able to work on several projects in local craft shops to further his skills. After his tour, Dan moved to Minnesota and transferred to the Minnesota National Guard with the 34 I.D. in 2000. He joined Dunwoody Institute of Technology to further his mechanical education. Seven years later, he found himself working in various auto body and custom shops and experiencing day to day business. From these opportunities, Dan felt that he had enough insight to create his own business, Straight Line Customs. His goal is to be a reputable shop in the Twin Cities and Metro Areas that will make dreams become realities. Dan prides himself on personally dealing with all of his customers to create a happy working relationship. Honesty and integrity are keys factors in becoming a successful business owner, which in turn helps to create and maintain cliental. Dan’s main goal is that the customer gets the quality of work expected in their restoration, custom paint job or just a quick fix or any project he is doing.
